CHULA VISTA CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF: January 9, 19 73
ITEM TITLE: Resolution - Appropriating funds for purchase of
tape recorder
INITIATED BY: City Clerk
BACKGROUND
At the meeting of January 2, 1973, the City Cleric reported that
the present tape recorder used to tape City Council meetings and
conferences was constantly in need of repair. The Communications
Technician recommended the purchase of a 9000X Tandberg which
would be installed as a permanent unit in the Council Chamber.
The cost of the recorder is $617.05 plus tax. The City Clerk
requested the amount of $800.00 which would cover the cost of
the recorder, installation, and a locking device to be installed
on the two recorders in the Civic Center (Planning and City Clerk)
which would prevent anyone from erasing tapes, either accidentally
or deliberately.
