RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA GIVING NOTICE OF INTENTION OF FILING OF ASSESS-
MENTS FOR 1911 BLOCK ACT, PHASE XV, AND SETTING
APRIL 10,1973 AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS
AS THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS THEREON
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets has prepared the
spread of assessment for the costs of construction of improvements
to be undertaken in accordance with the 1911 Block Act, and
WHEREAS, said spread of assessment is set forth in Exhibit
"A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if set
forth in full, and
WHEREAS, said improvements designated as Phase XV are
estimated to involve the following costs and indicate the source
of funding thereof:
Contract Costs - $1,499.20 (Capital Improvement Program)
Incidental Expenses - $700.00 (General Fund)
Total Cost - $2,199.20
Incidental Expenses to be Borne by City - $700.00
Total Assessment - $1,499.20
and
WHEREAS, the repayment of funds advanced by the City to
be undertaken through the imposition of liens in accordance with
Section 5895 of the Streets and Highways upon the properties is
subject to the following conditions:
1. The City will undertake the collection of assessed
amounts.
2. Simple interest at the rate of seven percent (7%)
per annum shall be added to any unpaid balance.
3. Payments may be made in a maximun of ten (10) annual
installments.
NOW, THEREFOP,E, BE IT FESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista does hereby give notice of intention of
filing of assessments for 1911 Block Act, Phase XV, and sets
April 10,1973 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall
at 276 Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista, California as the time and
place for hearing protests thereon.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Chula Vista be, and she is hereby authorized and directed to
forward certified copies of this resolution to the subject pro-
perty owners.
