HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1973-6773I RESOLUTION NO. 6773 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ACCEPTING AND DEDICATING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN SAID CITY FOR PARK PURPOSES The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista has heretofore received an offer of certain real property consisting of approximately 7 acres from Henry and Tessie L. Rienstra, and WHEREAS, said property is presently being used for Youth Baseball League play on two fields one being the Pony League South and the other, the South Bay Little League, and WHEREAS, it is intended in the future to construct one additional field on said property, and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the offerers, Henry and Tessie L. Rienstra, that the property being granted herein to the City and dedicated for park purposes should continue to be used for Youth Baseball League play for so long as that use is practical. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that that certain grant of real property, made by quitclaim deed, executed by Henry and Tessie L. Rienstra, dated the day of March, 1973, a copy of which is attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof, the same as though fully set forth herein be, and the same is hereby accepted and dedicated to the public use for park purposes by the City of Chula Vista. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby pledge itself to the continued use of the subject property for Youth Baseball League play purposes for so long as that is practical and in keeping with the Parks and Recreation programs of the City of Chula Vista. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Youth Baseball League is authorized to construct one additional field on the subject property. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City shall upon acquisition of the property execute use agreements with the Youth Baseball Leagues playing on the ball fields located on the subject property.
