RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS TO SEND
CHULA VISTA BANDS TO WESTERN DIVISION OF THE MUSIC
EDUCATORS NATIONAL CONFERENCE
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore authorized the
expenditure of $2,500 as matching funds with the Sweetwater Union
High School District to send the Hilltop and Castle Park Bands to
the Western Division of the Music Educators National Conference
in San Francisco on February 20 through February 23, 1975, and
WHEREAS, the $2,500 in funds is available in the Community
Promotions budget under the Industrial Task Force appropriation,
which will reduce it from $21,500 to $19,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Chula Vista that the sum of $2,500 is hereby authorized to
be expended from the Community Promotions budget under the Industrial
Task Force appropriation.

At its meeting of February 4, 1975, the City Council authorized the
expenditure of $2500 from the Community Promotions budget 01-1130-
5451 as matching funds with the Sweetwater Union High School Dist to send
the Hilltop and Castle Park Bands to the Western Division of the
Music Educators National Conference in San Francisco on February 20
through February 23, 1975.
The $2500 in funds is available in the Community Promotions budget
under the Industrial Task Force appropriation, which will reduce
it from $21,500 to $19,000.
At the conclusion of the Western Division of the Music Educators
National Conference, the Chula Vista Bands must supply a detailed
list of expenditures and submit same to the City of Chula Vista.
Any expenditures over $2500, authorized by the City of Chula Vista,
will be absorbed by the organizations and any funds remaining will
be turned back to the City along with the detailed list of expendi-
tures. This detailed list of expenditures must be submitted to the
City within thirty days of the scheduled conference.
