RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA AUTHOP.IZING THE NEGOTIATED LEASE
OF VEHICLES TO SUPPORT CETA, TITLE VI, PERSONTdEL
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, it is recommended that a total of six additional
vehicles, including two 5-ton dump trucks, one 1-ton dump truck,
one 1-ton flat bed truck, one 6-man crew cab pick-up and one 3/4-ton
pick-up, and in addition, four jack hammers with attachments, are
required to support the CETA Title VI personnel employed by the
City, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to have such leased equipment
available on or before February 24, 1975, and
WHEREAS, Section 2.509 of the City Code authorizes the
immediate purchase or lease of such equipment by the City Manager
provided, however, that a full explanation of the circumstances
of such emergency shall be entered into the minutes of the Council
and shall be open to public inspection.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Chula Vista that the City Manager is so authorized to nego-
tiate the lease of said equipment and that the reasons and explanation
of such need be and the same are hereby entered into the minutes of
the City Council.
