Department Head Recommendation: Approval of resolution City Manager Recommendation: Concur ~®7 ~, ,,, AGENDA ITEM N0. 3 Supplemental Page No. 2 It is noted that funds are available under the CETA VI grant for this purpose. The hire-on date for CETA Title VI personnel is February 21, 1975. It is essential that the required vehicles be on hand at that time. Normal prpcedures require the City to solicit bids for the leasing of the required vehicles. However, if the City were to go to bid for these vehicles it would be impossible to have them on hand by February 21, 1975. Therefore, authorization is requested from City Council to negotiate the leases for these vehicles and equipment instead of going to bid. Chula Vista Clity Code Section 2.509 permits the negotiation of the leases with Council approvail. Once the leases have been negotiated, the Parks and Recreation Department wilh submit the leases to City Council for approval. oY, 76 ~/9 ~~
