CHULA VISTA CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF: January 14, 1975
ITEM TITLE: Resolution - Authorizing Waiver of Greens Fees for the
Second Annual San Diego County P.G.A. Pro/Am Golf Tournament

Director of Parks and Recreation
Mr. Joe Warburton, Golf Professional, has requested a waiver of greens
fees for the second annual Pro/Amateur golf tournament to be held at
the Chula Vista Municipal Golf Course on Monday, March 24, 1975.
A review of play at the golf course on Mondays in March indicates that
the average morning eighteen hole play takes into account 44 players.
The addition of 30 professional/amateur golfers should not affect this
play; afternoon play would not be affected.
The expense involved in the waiver of greens fees for this event would
be approximately $105.00.
Favorable consideration is recommended because the tournament would
serve as an attraction to potential future golfers and thus increase
golf course revenues.
