CHULA VISTA CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF: December 17, 1974
ITEM TITLE: Resolution - Approving Agreement between The City of Chula Vlista,
E1 Rancho del Rey and The Roman Catholic Bishop of San Diego

BACKGROUND
The E1 Rancho del Rey Corporation recently transferred a parcel of land do
the Roman Catholic Bishop of San Diego County at the intersection of "H"
Street and Paseo Ranchero. The parcel consists of 4.8 acres.
A parcel map was filed and necessary street dedications obtained. The
Planning Commission approved a deferral of improvements. In order to cla,'se
escrow, it is now desired to clearly indicate that the Bishop is assuming
the obligation for the installation of the improvements in accordance with
the agreement previously entered into with E1 Rancho del Rey.

I am attaching hereto a grant deed dated December 4, 1974 from
E1 Rancho del Rey to the City of Chula Vista, an original and
three copies of an agreement between the City of Chula Vista and
E1 Rancho del Rey dated 12/4/74, in connection with property being
sold to the Catholic Diocese of SanDiego. We are awaiting execution
of an agreement between the Roman Catholic Bishop of San Diego and
E1 Rancho del Rey which we will submit to your office, probably on
Monday December 9th.
This agreement will indicate that they will hold the E1 Rancho del Rey
harmless of the requirements in the agreement between the City of
Chula Vista and E1 Rancho del Rey.
It is very important that these documents be recorded concurrentdeed
in the following order: 1) parcel map 2) deed to the City 3)
to the church 4) the two agreements between the City and us and
If there are any questions concerning this matter I would appreciate
your letting me know as soon as possible so that we may not incur
any difficulties in having this appear on the Council agenda for
December 17, 1974.
