ITEM TITLE: Resolution - Approving Agreement with the San Diego ',Gas and
Electric Company for the Improvement o~ Albany
Avenue

BACKGROUND
The improvement of Albany Avenue from Main Street to Tremont Street is
to be a cooperative effort between the City, the County, thehula Vista
Elementary School District and the San Diego Gas & Electric Company.
This agreement provides for the City to design the project, p~'epare
plans and specifications, provide inspection, contract manage ent, and
materials engineering. The gas & electric company is respons'ble for
payment of the actual costs of construction of 249 lineal fee of street
improvements fronting their property and for 20.91% of the Al any Avenue
drainage improvements. San Diego Gas & Electric Company has lso
offered the necessary right of way for these improvements.
$22,000 of 2106 Gas Tax funds has been appropriated in the current
FY 74-75 Gas Tax Program for the City's portion of the project.
A transparency which shows the area to be improved is availaflle for
Council viewing. ~,
