CHULA VISTA CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF: December 10, 1974
ITEM TITLE:
INITIATED BY:
Resolution - Approving extension and amendment of agreement ~i
City of National City for use of pound facilities
and services
Ci y Manager
th
BACKGROUND
The City of National City has, since April 6, 1965, contracted with the
City of Chula Vista for the use of Chula Vista's pound facilities and ser ices.
The agreement for these services is being amended at this time to reflect an
increase in fees from $500 per month. to $600 per month for the use of Chu a
Vista pound facilities and services. The terms of the agreement will be
extended for one year, to December 31, 1975.
This new charge of $600 per month reflects the 29.3% Animal Shelter workl ad
capacity accountable to National City. This increase is necessary due o
the additional cost of operation and maintenance of the Animal Shelter an
the desire to have the contracting City pay its proportionate share of c sts.
These costs are broken down and explained in detail in the attached repo t
submitted by the Chief of Police.
