HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Statement 1976/01/06 Item 09CITY OF CHULA VISTA COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT ITEM NO 9 FOR MEETING OF: 1/6 76 #8001 ITEM TITLE: Resolution/Authorizing the San Diego County Director of Public Health to Enforce the Provisions of Ordinance No. 1656 Relating to Food Handlers SUBMITTED BY~ City Attorney ITEM EXPLANATION The Agreement for Public Health Services between the City and thelCounty (Res. #1389) makes provisions for County enforcement of certain City ordinances related to public health. The primary qualification being that the City ordinance must impose the same regulatory and penal'pro- visions on incorporated territory within the City as does the rel~ted County ordinance upon unincorporated territory. j The recently adopted Food Handler Ordinance (No. 1656) was prepared at the request of the County so as to be comparable with the related~County ordinance. Passage of this resolution will formalize the implied intent of Ordinance No. 1656 and be in conformity with the provisions of the Agreement for Public Health Services.
