approval of Change Orders#21 and #27.

Change Order #21 is for labor and materials required for ceiling nd lighting
installation in the extension services room of the library. Ceil ng and
lighting were not included in the construction plan in an attempt to reduce
the bid price of the library. Since the cost of ceiling and ligh ing will
be considerably less during construction than after the building s completed,
and since the funds are available now, it seems appropriate that he ceiling
and lights should be installed now to take advantage of this savi gs and
permit early use of the-room by the library staff.
Change Order #27 is for labor and materials required for changes nd additions
to electrical service and controls. The additional electrical se vice is
for the irrigation controls, air conditioner compressor and eleva or equip-
ment room. The air conditioner compressor was moved from the roo to the
utility pad to reduce noise inside the library thus requiring an dditional
circuit on the utility pad. The irrigation control circuits were inadvertentl
left out of the plans and the changes to the elevator equipment r om are
being made to conform to new OSHA requirements imposed by State e evator
inspector. ~
