Tiffany Park by Field Force Labor and Subcontract Bid where Appropriate SUBMITTED BY~ Director of Parks and Recreation ITEM EXPLANATION At the meeting held on February 3, 1976, Council expressed a concern for the need for public rest room facilities at City park sites and directed staff to bring back a resolution authorizing the construction of a rest room facility at Palomar Park. As a result of this direction, staff recommends the construction of a similar facility in the soon to be dedicated Burton C. Tiffany Park (for- merly Elmhurst). Because of the many facets involved in the construction of this public rest room, the varied contractors and subcontractors which would be required, and based on an analysis prepared by staff, it is felt that it would be desirable to accomplish this project through the use of existing field forces and subcontractor bid. Financial Statement - Although this rest room was not included in the original plans, funds are available in PD-3 (Elmhurst Park, Phase II), in the amount of $21,000. This savings was the result of the construction of this site with field force labor. r'\/1 111'11 T!'1 ATTA/'11 Ir l'1 G/lr"1161 I J F-11 I Hl.r1CU Agreement Resolution X Ordinance Plat Other Environmental Document: Attached Submitted on STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the construction of a rest room facility, at a cost of approximately $10,000, at Burton C.
