HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Statement 1976/01/20 Item 11 CITY OF CHULA VISTA ' COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT ITEM.NO.• 11 FOR MEETING OF: 1/2 0/7 6 ITEM TITLE: Resolution #8028 :Approving Agreement - Maintenance and Operation Costs for Sewer Lift Station in Rancho Robinhood Unit #2 Subdivision SUBMITTED BY~ Director of Public Works/City Engineer ~,~ ITEM EXPLANATION One of the conditions of approval for the tentative map of Rancho Robinhood Unit #2 Subdivision was for the developer to pay for the maintenance and operation costs incurred by the City for the sewer lift station being con- structed at the end of Surrey Place. The developer has executed an agreement with the City whereby he agrees to pay the actual costs incurred by the City in maintaining and operating the sewer lift station. The average cost of maintaining a sewer lift station of this size is approximately $1,500 annually. Since this lift station is a temporary unit, this agreement provides for $1,500 annual maintenance over a period of ten years. Routine maintenance will be performed by the City. Labor charges will be at prevailing City wages and shall be labor at cost, not including overhead. The agreement covers major repairs or replacement parts, utility costs including electricity, water and tele- phone, and cost of repair parts and materials to perform the maintenance. The developer has made a cash bond deposit of $1,500 with the City Finance Office to guarantee compliance with conditions of the agreement.
