COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT

ITEM TITLE: Resolution #7925 -Approving Agreement for Cooperative Topographic
Project between the County of San Diego and the City of Chula Vist

ITEM EXPLANATION:
The proposed agreement calls for the County to provide the City with re-
producible transparent sheets of 2 existing and 8 new map units in and/or
around the City of Chula Vista. Each map unit consists of three types of
reproducible sheets which are described as follows:
1. Orthophoto base - A photograph of the area.
2. Contour overlay - A map showing lines of equal elevation at
specified intervals. In this case it will be at
5 foot intervals.
3. Orthophoto composite - A map combining the orthophoto
base, the contour overlay, and street name
identification, all on one map.
The City will pay the total cost for preparing a reproducible duplicate of
said 2 existing map units and 500 of the cost of preparing the 8 proposed
map units. The City's total cost is $6200, which is due and payable to the
County prior to July 30, 1976.
The 3 departments, Public Works, Planning and Community Development have
budgeted $2500 each for their share of the cost for the topographic maps.
