RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA, APPROVING AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND "OUR HOUSE" SETTING OUT
TERMS AND OBLIGATIONS REGARDING EXPENDITURE OF
CITY FUNDS
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that that certain amendment
to the agreement between THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, a municipal
corporation, and "OUR HOUSE" setting out terms and obligations re-
garding expenditure of City funds dated the Second day of
March 1976, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein, the same as though fully set forth herein be,
and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Chula
Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute said
agreement for and on behalf of the City of Chula Vista.

AGREED~IENT SETTING OUT THE TERMS ANb OHLZGATIONS
OF "OUR HOUSE" IN REGARD TO THE EXPENDITURE OF
CITY APPROPRIATED FUNDS
THIS AGREET~IENT, made and entered into this Second day of
March , 1976, by and between the CITY OF CHULA VISTA, a municipal
corporation, ~reinafter referred to as "City", and OUR HOUSE, INC.,
a nonprofit charitable organization, hereinafter referred to as "Our
House";
W I T N E S S E T H
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista has
determined that the function of Our House serves a valid public
purpose, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista desires
to encourage the beneficial aims of the Our House organization through
appropriation of reasonable amounts of City funds, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has established a policy for con-
sideration of requests for funding by private organizations and
individuals, and
WHEREAS, such policy stipulates that no expenditure may be
made out of any appropriation awarded said charitable organizations
unless an agreement has been reached between the parties setting out
the terms and obligations for the expenditure of such funds..
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS MUTUALLY AGREEb by and between the
parties hereto as follows:
1. The charitable organization known as Our House agrees to
provide proper surroundings which may encourage communication between
the alienated youth of the community and responsible leaders therein.
2. That the administration of Our House agrees to expend City
appropriated funds to meet bona fide obligations incurred in performing
these services, to-wit: payment of rent and utilities for the Our House
building.
3. That although Our House will not be required to reimburse
the City for the abovementioned appropriated funds, the charitable or-
ganization agrees to submit on a quarterly basis a complete report of
all financial expenditures that may take the form of a copy of the re-
ports Our House submits to the Federal Government, as well as a
Quarterly Activity Report.
4. That the Council of the City of Chula Vista at its dis-
cretion may require the charitable organization, Our House, to provide
or allow the City to undertake a complete financial audit of their
records.
5. That Our House, as a condition of financial support, shall
submit for review and comment by the City any application for
grant-in-aid funding from public or private sources.
6. That the term of this agreement shall be for a period of
five (5) years commencing with the beginning of fiscal year 1975-76 and
ending in 1980, unless further modified to include other permitted expen-
ditures of funds that are annually appropriated by the City Council.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this agree-
ment to be executed the day and year first hereinabove set forth.
