The following are points for consideration and suggested guidelines to implement such a policy. Recommended policy: A. The City of Chula Vista does not grant waivers of greens fees at the Chula Vista Municipal Golf Course, with the exception of: 1. Local high school and college tournaments 2. Chula Vista Junior Golf Championship Tournament 3. San Diego County P.G.A. Pro/Am Tournament Greens fees for these tournaments have been waived for the past several years by Council action; henceforth, upon receipt of written requests from any of these organizations, staff will make final arrangements and inform Council of the dates and times which are mutually agreed upon to be beneficial to the City and to the organization involved. B. Upon a formal request to Council from a charitable or legitimate human resource agency which falls within the guidelines set forth in this resolution, Council can direct staff to study said request and grant greens fees waivers of 50% of the prevailing weekday rates, based upon staff's findings. City Manager Recommendation: Concur AGENDA ITEM N0. 12 Supplemental Page No The City should encourage all other organizations which do not fall within this category to promote special golf tournaments, using our facilities for fund raising, and to set appropriate fees for these tournaments which would allow them to receive all revenues above our regularly scheduled greens fees. The staff would offer complete cooperation to these agencies to assist in ensuring the success of these events.
