CHULA VISTA CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF: May 20, 1975
ITEM TITLE: Resolution - Approving Plans, Specifications and Cost Estimate
for Rosebank Sewer, 1911 Act Assessment District
75-1 and Ordering the Work to Procee

The City Council, by Resolution 7262 on April 2, 1974 accepted the petition
and waiver requesting the installation of sewer mains in the Rosebank
area and directed the Director of Public Works to prepare maps, plans
and specifications for the work.
The City Council, by Resolution 7698 on April 8, 1975 adopted the plat
of the proposed district boundaries and by Resolution 7699 on April 8,
1975 declared its intention to form a 1911 Act District and set May 13,
1975 as the date for the public hearing on the formation of the district.
The public hearing was held on May 13, 1975 where protests were heard
and the public hearing declared closed. The City Council may now take
the following actions:
1. Approve plans, specifications and cost estimate.
2. Overrule protests and order work to be done.
3. At the same time as ordering the work to be done, waive payment
in advance of incidental expenses by the contractor. (Refer
to Sec. 5256 of Streets & Highways Code)
The description of the work in the Notice of Intention included sewer
mains, manholes and appurtenances. The City has budgeted $11,000 for
participation in the trunk system from the district boundary to the Spring
Valley Trunk Sewer. An additional $7,000 is being requested for the
'75-'76 budget. The estimated total cost for the project is $138,567.
