Resolution - Accepting Bids and Awarding Contract for the In-
ITEM TITLE: stallation of Street Lights on Broadway between H and I Streets,
Including Modification of the Traffic Signals at Broadway and I
Street, and Appropriating Additional Gas Tax Fun s for this
Project

Resolution 7379 establishing an underground utility district on Broadway
from H Street to I Street was passed on July 23, 1974. 12 street light
poles and about 1/4 mile of conduit will be installed between H and I
Streets.
The Director of Public Works received formal bids at 11:00 A.M. on May 8,
1975 for the aforementioned project. Three bids were submitted. The
bidders and their accompanying bids are:
Arrow Electric, Lemon Grove $22,740.00
G.F.A. Electric, San Diego $24,507.00
Select Electric, San Diego $25,843.72
The low bid of $22,740 was submitted by Arrow Electric.
Since $16,000 was budgeted in 1973-74, inflation has increased the cost
of street light installations. Therefore, additional appropriation in
the amount of $9,014.00 from the unappropriated balance of the Gas Tax
2106 funds is requested.
