The proposed projects are designed to draw funds from this jurisdiction's Fiscal 1974-75 LTF carry- over, a proportional LTF allocation for Fiscal 1975-76, and local resources. This submission was authorized by City Council Minute Action taken March ?_5, 1975. A formal resolution of our governing body will be forwarded to CPO in the near future. The intended program conforms vrith the enclosed Bike Routes Element of the Chula Vista General Plan. In addition, our designs incorporate criteria established by CPO's Bicycle Facilities Ad hoc Committee. Generally, the City's proposal seeks to provide both recreational and commuter bicyclists with an initial system of safe, convenient, and coordinated routes and facilities. This foundation will be expanded upon in future years to prornote bicycle use as a viable local transportation alternative. ~~~ Lane F.
