Home My WebLink AboutReso 1975-7785Form No. 312 Rev. 10-71 RESOLUTION NO. 7785 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR ASPHALTIC EMULSION FOR THE PERIOD JULY 1, 1975 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1975 The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the following four bids were received and opened at 1:00 p.m. on the 30th day of May 19 75 in the nffina of tha Pnrnha cinrt A_rtant of the City of Chula Visa for~pproximately 335 tons of RS-2 3gnhaltic Pmnlsion BIDDER Unit Price Total Price Chevron Asphalt Co. $63.00 $22,371.30 Douglas Oil Company $65.80 $23,365.58 Edgington Oil Co. $63.22 $24,694.36 Sim J. Harris Co. $61.00 $20,435.00 and WHEREAS, it has been recommended that said contract be awarded to the lowest res onsible bidder Sim J. Harris Company who as assure t e City t at he is a licensed vendor in the State of California and can produce an acceptable performance bond. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby accept said four bids, and does hereby award the contract for said asphaltic emulsion to Sim J. Harris Company to be completed in accordance with the specifications as approved by the Purchasingr Agent of the City of Chula Vista. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Agent of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute said contract for and on behalf of the City of Chula Vista.
