HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Statement 1975/08/05 Item 16CITY OF CHULA VISTA ITEM N0. 16 COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT FOR MEETING OF: 8/5/75 ITEM TITLE: Resolution - Accepting bids and awarding contracts for Library furniture ~`'~~~,~ and accessories installed in place SUBMITTED BY Purchasing Agent ITEM EXPLANATION Bids were received and opened at 3:00 P.M. on June 12, 1975 in the Public Works Center Assembly Room for library furniture and accessories to be installed in place in the new Chula Vista Library. Library furnishings are of a special nature, therefore the items were broken down into categories. Section I consists of steel book shelving; Section II, steel office fur- niture; Section III, custom wood furniture; and Section IV, miscellaneous items. Sections I, II, and III shall be awarded as complete sections. Section IV shall be awarded as individual items. Eleven (11) bids were received. Bid tabulation and evaluations are attached. Financial Statement: Account 63-7003-5568 provides for $435,000.00 for furnishing the new Library. Total funds required $348,520.51.
