FOR MEETING OF: 7 1 75 Variance to Brem V Brem Wholesale Nursery has requested a variance from the standard sewer service charge for their nursery at 1438 Hilltop Drive. The Engineering Division has investigated the circumstances concerning water usage and sewage generation at the site. Findings and a recommendation in favor of the variance are contained in the "Investigator's Report" included with the application submitted herewith. This report has been reviewed and approved by the City Manager. The sewer service charge is normally based on water usage and the assumption that a given portion of the water used enters the public sewers. However, most of the water delivered to this site is used for irrigation purposes. Only a very small percentage reaches the sewer. The report sets forth the facts for granting this variance and recommends that a uniform rate equal to that ckiarged a single family home (presently $1.50/mo.) be applied to this property.
