DATED the City is a full, same has City Clerk y NOTICE OF NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF EfJVIR01U1ENTAL IMPACT ~ry tJOTICE IS HERE[3Y GIVEN that on Eebruary 21, 1974 a Negative of Environmental Impact was issued by the Environmental Review Cola the Citv of Chula Vista. The project, described as Realignment of Edgemere ocate at gemere ve. rom State ilighiray 54 to a point E00 feet south It is the finding of the Environmental Review Committee that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment for the follovring reasons: The project is a simple modification (realignment) to a segment of an existing roadway. The primary purpose of tfie project is to permit a safer, more uniform flow of traffic. The project will not engender further adverse environmental impact than already exists as the result of the current alignment. Consequently, the project lacks the potential to downgrade the environment ~rhen compared to the existing situation. Short-te rni and long-term goals are to facilitate the safe movement of traffic through elimination of hazardous compound curves and substitution of uniform radii. Limited adverse impacts would include a minor reduction in natural hillside area and temporary impacts of dust and noise during the construction period. Cumulatively, these factors are still insignificant. The realigned segment will have no further significant impact than would be assigned to the existing roadway. The project of itself will cause no substantial adverse effects on human beings, either directly or indirectly..
