Lippitt Assistant Director of Public Works Public Works Department City of Chula Vista 276 Fourth Avenue Chula Vista, California 92010 RE: Proposed Quintard Street Park Dear Mr. Lippitt: Mr. Dewey Iiughes, in a discussion on Friday, December 17, 1976, asked that a letter be addressed to you relating to the use of a preliminary appraisal and the fee for it. Mr. Hughes was advised that a preliminary appraisal re- port on the three properties involved would be $1,000, A preliminary report is basically used for budgeting and nego- tiations, and the main difference between a preliminary apprai- sal and a complete appraisal report is that the investigation is not as detailed as a complete appraisal. Market data would not be researched as extensively as with a complete appraisal. 'Work has been suspended on this project, awaiting approv- al by your department and the City Council. If we may be of further help, please call. Sincerely yours, E. lan Comstock EAC:tt
