COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT
$3~~ FOR MEETING OF: 10-5-76
ITEM TITLE: Resolution - Requesting Extension of California Coastal Zone Conservation
Commission Pilot Local Implementation Program Contract
SUBMITTED BY~ Community Development Director )
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The City of Chula Vista's Coastal Commission Pilot Local Implementation Program Grant
is due to expire on September 30, 1976. A minimal amount of expenditure has been made
to date due to the fact that a majority of the efforts in the process have been limited
to Coastal Commission Review of our existing plan.
Staff is now at a point where the majority of real cost activities will begin to take
place. The Commission has advised the City that an extension of the grant period
is possible upon adoption of a resolution of request (see attached letter). Such
a resolution is attached for your consideration.
