RESOLUTION OF THE- CITY COUNCIL OF 3YIE"'Ci'fY OF CHULA
VISTA, APPROVING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA AND OUR HOUSE, INC. SETTING OUT TERMS AND
OBLIGATIONS REGARDING EXPENDITURE OF CITY FUNDS
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that that certain agreement
between THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, a municipal corporation, and
OUR HOUSE, INC., a nonprofit charitable organization, setting out
terms and obligations regarding expenditure of City funds,
dated the 22nd day of June 1976 a copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, the same as though
fully set forth herein be, and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Chula
Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute said
agreement for and on behalf of the City of Chula Vista.

THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 22nd day of
June, 1976, by and between the CITY OF CHULA VISTA, a municipal corporation,
hereinafter referred to as "City", and OUR HOUSE, INC., a nonprofit charitable
organization, hereinafter referred to as "Our House";
W I T N E S S E T H:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista has determined
that the function of Our House serves a valid public purpose, and
s WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista desires to en-
courage the beneficial aims of the Our House organization through appropriation
of reasonable amounts of City funds, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has established a policy for consideration of
requests for funding by private organizations and individuals, and
WHEREAS, such policy stipulates that no expenditure may be made out of
any appropriation awarded said charitable organizations unless an agreement has
been reached between the parties setting out the terms and obligations for the
expenditure of such funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED by and between the parties hereto
as follows:
1. The charitable organization known as Our House agrees to provide
proper surroundings which may encourage communication between the alienated youth
of the community and responsible leaders therein.
2. That the administration of Our House agrees to expend City appropriated
funds to meet bona fide obligations incurred in performing these services, to-wit:
payment of rent and utilities for the Our House building fora period of three
months from July 1, 1976 thru September 30, 1976 for an amount of $500 per month or
a total of $1,500. In addition, the sum of $12,000 will be approved to underwrite
the Our House program and enable the program to carry on for this same three month
period. However, the City reserves the right to discontinue its funding at such time
the City Council determines sufficient allocations from other private or governmental
sources will not be forthcoming.
3. That although Our House will not be required to reimburse the City for
the abovementioned appropriated funds, the charitable organization agrees to submit
on a monthly basis a complete report of all financial expenditures that may take
the form of a copy of the reports Our House submits to the Federal Government, as well
as a Monthly Activity Report. In addition, representatives of Our House staff and
the Board of Directors will meet with City staff and representatives of the City
Council on a monthly basis during this three month period to completely review the
progress of Our House in securing outside funding. An evaluation is to be made at
each of these monthly meetings in regard to continued City support of Our House.
4. That the Council of the City of Chula Vista at its discretion may
require the charitable organization, Our House, to provide or allow the City to
undertake a complete financial audit of their records.
5. That the tens of this agreement shall be fora period of three (3)
months from July 1, 1976 thru September 30, 1976 unless further modified to include
other permitted expenditures of funds that are appropriated by the Council.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this agreement to be
executed the day and year first hereinabove set forth.
